There are many baby shower games. They can be funny and entertaining and should fit in with the theme of the baby shower. Here are a few traditional and non-traditional games.

Diaper the balloon

Items needed:

• Cloth diapers
• Diaper pins
• Balloons
• Timer
• Blindfold (optional)

Directions: Blow up the balloons. With or without a blindfold, put a diaper on the balloon. For an outside baby shower, the balloons can be filled with water. Time the length of time it takes to diaper the baby. Whoever has the best times wins.

Identify the baby

Items needed:

• Each guest brings a copy of a baby photo
• Paper
• Pen
• Name tags

Directions: Attach the photo to a sheet of paper where each guest can write their name and who they think the picture is of. Once everyone has finished, nametags can be removed. The guest who has the most correct matches wins.

Baby puzzle

Items needed:

• 8 x 10 copies of baby pictures
• Scissors
• Timer

Direction: Take an 8 x 10 copy of photos of the mom, dad, and any siblings. Cut into squares. Mix up everyone’s squares. Have teams timed how long it takes them to separate the pieces and put together a picture of each baby.

Hot “potato” baby

Items needed:

• Baby doll
• Music

Directions: Played like hot potato-pass baby around while music plays, who ever has baby when music stops is out of the game.

Baby juggling

Items needed:

• Juggling instruction video
• 3 hand size soft baby dolls
• Timer

Directions: Watch the video, practice, and then demonstrate juggling. The guest who can juggle the longest wins.

Empty the bottle

Items needed:

• Several identical small bottles
• Drink (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) drinks to fill bottles

Directions: Everyone gets a bottle and the guest who finishes first wins. This game can be played with sippy cups also.
