HEART ANIMALS-cut a pile of hearts in mostly pink, reds, and whites. They can be even cut from wrapping paper with Valentine colored designs. The hearts can be glued together to make snakes, caterpillars, fish, mice, butterflies, and animal faces. The “animals” can be mounted and framed or put on special cards. 

CANDLE HOLDER-take mason jars and use thinned glue to glue on strips of pink, red, and white tissue paper. Over lap the pieces of tissue paper. Heart shapes can be cut out and glued on. After drying, cover the entire outside of the jar with a few coats of the glue. Fill ¾ of the way with sand or small decorative stones. Set candles inside the jar and light. 

GIFT BASKETS-fill a basket or container with favorite items or items that can be enjoyed together. A popcorn bowl with a romantic movie, candles, popcorn, and candy makes a gift that suggests a future date. Pair up items in the basket or container. It helps to know the receiver to personalize the basket. 

FLOWER POT-can be decorated and personalized. A plant can be put in it or it can be filled with seeds for a cut flower garden to have flowers all the time. 

GIFT BAGS-little bags with a variety of Valentine’s Day candy and small gifts are fun to give to children. A toothbrush can be added to keep the dentist away. 

GIFT CERTIFICATES-can be made with a printer or card stock paper cut to coupon size and hand written and decorated with stickers. The certificates can be romantic like “good for a backrub”. The certificates can be practical “good for one weeding in the garden” or for chores like “get out of washing dishes”.
